this was teh spec i used for a lonnnnng time.
it racks out great damage in both pve and pvp.

best rotation i found

CoA, Cor, UA, SL, Imm, SB SB SB SB SB
once dots end repeat cycle


for mobs i would just
immolate, corruption SB SB SB SB SB

i found my self at +900 dps with this spec it was very fun
one mod your going to want though is DoTimer !!!
ESPECIALLY for this spec you are dotting liek crazy.

for this spec, get spell hit capped ( or very close to it), stack spell damage adn spell crit. +1000 spell damage with 20% crit (unbuffed, w/o talents) should equal over 1k dps.


WARNING you will also suck at bg's arenas with this spec lol

just run adn dot! and when you have time to actually kill someone, sit there adn spam shadow bolt,
they will die fast as hell.




LEOTHERAS TANKING LOCKS

summon your fel puppy DO NOT SOUL LINK! hence why i tell you not to spec it!
if you soul link it will 1 shot your pet !
you want him alive! your fel hunter pet gives you 70 + fire resist.
MAKE SURE YOU PET GETS BUFFED! - it gives you more spell damage therfore more threat!
and yes fire aura or fire totem buff stack with your pets fire resist!
make sure you have salvation OFF!
just watch your aggro teh whole fight. (when not tanking)
after you hide your pet (before the fight)
your gonna find your designated tanking spot and your gonna sit and spam searing pain your going to want to spam searing pain 3-5 seconds before he changes forms ( thank you deadly boss mods)
then after he enters that phase where breaks off into 2 phases ( at like 15 % or something dont remember ) at the same time.
your going to want to searing pain to gain initial aggro !
then after that everyone is gonna be attacking the other form of leotheras so your tanking nothing in other words...
so to help healers just start spamming drain health!!
and keep your eyes on threat meters make sure no one gets even remotely close.

and that is leotheras tanking 101






Tips!!

one thing i personally do is, have a spell damage set for trash and mobs. then when the boss time comes, i switch to alllllll my spell hit gear. remember mobs have a lower spell hit cap than bosses do !

remember you dont want to stack hit cap, cuz then your spell damage will be crappy as hell
but you dont want to stack spell damage, cuz then youll never hit.
stack em both together.
as for certain gear, you can be hit capped out of kara with the gear from there.
cenarion expedition also has a rep ring that is freaking amazing
the spirit shards one is decent if you want it.

once you are close to hit cap (202, once you hit 180 thats "close" lol)
you want to start your Destro Set. which is all Crit/Spell damage ( while staying hit capped)
so teh ring of reccurence would be good from kara some good pants drop in heroic bm etc...

15% crit, 1000 shadow damage, 202 spell hit - have that for Destro spec (aka spell hit cap spec)


MODS

only mod you may want to use is DoTimer ( unless you are Destro spec)
it gives you CD's on your SS and anything else.
it also gives you timer on your DoT's
and you can post em to teh raid too which is great that way
people stop asking you how much time is left on SS you just click a button haha.


another mod i found really useful (and fun ) is NaturEnemy Cast Bars
it tells you what your enemy is casting VERY useful for pvp
and fairly useful for pve.


these 2 mods are EXTREMELY simple to set up.
and are fairly light ( cpu wise)


DISCLAIMER
if you think i made a mistake linking wrong spec or think i am just talkign pure shit,
dont flame me. just talk about it.
in teh future as more locks begin to raid (hopefully) you will have to spec accordingly.
such as - differnet locks spec for differnt healthstones, malediction etc. etc...
dont worry about the damage meters if your not top 3 or w.e
remember you can kill most of these people in a duel

The Optimal strategy is to keep Unstable Affliction, Corruption, Siphon Life and a curse active on your target. When all your dots are up you will be using that time to throw Shadow Bolts or Dark Pact/Life tap. Good timing is important: never refresh a dot effect before it has run its full duration, but minimize the time between the last tic and reapplying. For example, you want to start casting Unstable Affliction before the last tic hits, so that the last tic happens during the cast and UA is reapplied almost immediately after. (dot timer is a must)

I wouldnt bother using immolate when your aff because its just not mana efficient imo. Might as well get the dots up that have the + it talents and get to SBing like as soon as possible. Nice thing about aff locks are you really only need 76 + hit yay..

technically "76 hit" remember Shadow Bolt is NOT Afflc
and at the end of the day, Shadow Bolt is your biggest hurt.

We found that we didn't need the Demonic Resil talent as much becuase he could keep my pet up just fine without it. Also with imp CoA and imp Corrup. the damage done was way greater! Which means there healer had no choice but to burn his mana faster to heal or dispell my dots which also burns mana.

LOL people think playing warlock is easy mode.... anyone can dot and fear... doesn't mean a thing if you don't know how to manage your devour magic & spell locks.

OHHHHHHH BTW I hate doing 2s now on my warlock.... warlock/druid vs warlock/druid = my longest arena fight 1 hour and 30 minutes.... because neither teams wanted to lose points in the 2k bracket....
